The Band Room is a school of music focused on equipping children and adults with music performance skills for the real world. We offer piano, guitar, bass guitar, and drums lessons, and also provide rehearsal space rental and small recording services.

Rehearsal Space
Our rehearsal studio is perfectly outfitted for private band rehearsals of all sizes. Hourly rates start at $75 and include a PA system, a bathroom, and a 2,500 sqf facility.

Music Lessons
We offer private drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, and piano instruction. Hourly rates start at $50 and include instruments, and options for group or private instruction.

Voice Recording
Our studio space is outfitted for voice recording for podcasts, voiceovers, and pre-recorded presentations. Hourly rates start at $100 and include a recording engineer.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Kenny Matthews
Kenny is an artist, multi-instrumentalist musician, producer, and educator that has traveled abroad to serve alongside some of the music industry’s most influential voices. Today, Kenny is continuing to inspire generations by taking his original music to the national stage and educating those with similar aspirations in his home town of Rocky Mount, VA.
